Day 1 : Arrive Cochin Drive to Munnar
On arrival at Cochin International Airport /Railway station by Munnar Holidays representative and thereafter depart for Munnar (130 kms / 04 hrs) enjoying the scenic beauty & the marvelous waterfalls, high mountains with the low flying clouds passing by. Arrive Munnar and check in at hotel. Evening at Leisure. Dinner & Overnight at Munnar.
Day 2 : Munnar Local sightseeing
Morning after breakfast proceed for sightseeing in Munnar which includes a visit to the flower garden and for an elephant safari, before driving on to the scenic Mattupetty dam, Eco- point and Kundala dam areas. At Kundala dam there is an opportunity to enjoy boating on the lake. Finally, we drive through a vegetable growing area to Top station which is situated high in the mountains on the border between Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Dinner & Overnight stay at Munnar.
Day 3 : Munnar to Thekkady
Morning drive to Thekkady covering a distance of 110 kms / 4 hrs through cardamom hills. Check into the resort. After lunch take a boat ride on the lake and the Periyar dam. Boating will take approximate 2 hours and you can also get rare glimpses of wild animals. The forest department offers many programs including periyar tiger trail, nature walk, bamboo rafting, etc. Plantation tourism also is promoted by private agencies, so that the tourists can see and learn the cultivation of various spices of Kerala. Dinner & Overnight stay at Thekkady.
Day 4 : Periyar (Thekkady) (120Kms 04Hrs Drive)
After breakfast at the hotel drive to Periyar (Thekkady). See the copious nature beauty of Lockhart Tea Factory, Lockhart Gap View, Anayirangal Lake appealing mountain streams, spice plantations etc on the way. On arrival at Periyar, check-in at your hotel. Freshen up and relax. After lunch visit to an organic farm set in the heart of the serene Cumbum Valley, flanked by mountains that kiss the clouds with streams gushing down its slopes and lush farmlands, Set off from your hotel at 3.30PM for Lower Camp, Board a bullock cart on the highway, Enjoy a slow bullock cart ride through lush vegetable farms, cross a gushing stream & past fruit orchard, Arrive at Harvest Fresh Farms to a refreshing welcome of freshly squeezed juice or tea/coffee and light refreshments, Go on a tour of the farm with an English speaking guide and see the pomegranate, papaya plantations, vineyard, the apiary, nursery, composting yards, the livestock pen, poultry farm, the herbal garden, Climb the watchtower for commanding views of the valley, As dusk settles over the valley sit down to delicious dinner. Local cuisine crafted with homegrown or locally sourced fresh ingredients. Transport back to the hotel with a soulful of memories. Evening Back to Hotel. Dinner & Overnight will be at Thekkady.
Day 5 : Thekkady to Alleppey to Kumarkom(Cruise Houseboat)
After breakfast Check out your resort and drive to Alleppey; also known as Venice of the east by its special geographical features as the place is famous for its vast back water stretches and paddy fields. By 01 pm you can board your houseboat to explore the back waters and its serene beauty. Enjoy the ride; delicious cuisines. Dinner & Overnight stay at House Boat.
